This helm was created as a gift for a new king, by a mage that wanted to free his kingdom of corruption. It may very well have worked, but an assassination and a bloody civil war eliminated the chance of the item being put to good use. The mage did eventually get his wish however, as a neighboring empire decided to conquer the war-torn kingdom and replace its rulers with a fairer government system.
