Eclair a peace loving bard of good standing, renowned for her love songs, had this helmet made for her by a her friend Aribur Glukard a powerfull enchanter. The reason she had the helmet made was that her love was spurned, by a young noble of the kingdom of the stag. Unable to bear the loss of her dreams she woved to never take the helmet off until the noble acknowledged her love. Under the guise of a guardsman she entered the noble mans service to be near him. This went on for a few years and the noble became good friends with his strange guard that never took his helmet off. The truth about Eclair's identity was however one day reveiled, when the noble was attacked by assasins hired by a rival of his. Eclair saved her beloved's life at the cost of her own. Eclair held out with amazing fortitude and great strength, until reinforcements could arrive, but the helmet would be her undoing as she could not move fast enough to dodge the final thrust from the last assasin.
