The first example of this item was created for Enkidu, a famed warrior of Kara-Tur. None dared challenge him in fair combat, but he was often subject to sneak attacks from assassins, ninjas, and wu-jen. His armor was designed to prevent such cowardly action from succeeding, protecting the wearer as well as the honor of the attacker who would otherwise shame himself. Copies have been made, though they vary in power when compared to the original.
