This shortsword appears to normal in all forms of identification. It is plain but well made, holding no signature of the smith who created it. The only significant feature is the outline of a human face apon it's crossguard. The expression would be one of fear if it had any facial features. But when used in combat it's power is unearthed. It has been crafted to constantly radiate a horrendus affliction. When struck with this blade the facial features of the victim seem to wither and shrink. The character temporarily loses their ability to see as the magical disease toys with their appearance.
