Aetheric weapons were first made before the cataclysm when the Manonera lived on the surface. They were a dificult to prduce but available in such numbers that most officers and elite troops would wield them. Thus enough smiths knew the secret of thier fashioning that they continued to be made and used in Caendryll up until the fall of the city.
