This is Jervis of the Rada's Orb of Arcane Power. It was crafted to be used a power source in opening the Ancient Portal.
At the beginning of the Rebellion it was broken into three shards, which were scattered. With the reuniting of the shards the Orb is functional once again and can be used in portal opening.
