Cermu'lin the Cat watched his prey from the distance. Well hidden in the shadows of the Underdark he easily stalked his future victim. He had let her know that she was followed with a loud step or a hiss. He knew she was afraid he could hear her noisy respiring, her fast steps. She was not used to be running away. She was a drow priestess after all, but Lloth would not answer her prayers not here not today not anymore. She stopped scanning the tunnels listening, listening intently. There was no sound just a grueingly silence. The underdark knew what was to come and held its breath, even more than usually. Suddenly, she heard a click, but she could not locate the sound as darkness fell over her. Like an embracing blanket, there were no more sounds even her, through her heritage, enhanced eyes could not pierce the black walls around her. Cermu'lin the Cat stepped back from her body collected her belongings and headed for the city to bring his matron the news. He stalked through the underdark faster than any other creature could.
